“Special Lecture: Exploring the Evolutionary Genomics of Parasitic Helminths through Next-Generation Sequencing”

On June 25, 2025, Walailak Research Institute hosted a special lecture, "Exploring the Evolutionary Genomics of Parasitic Helminths Through Next-Generation Sequencing," at the Walailak Research Conference Room. A large number of researchers, researchers, and researchers participated.
This activity, part of the second collaborative project with experts with outstanding research achievements, will help strengthen international research networks and promote research knowledge…
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sudarat Thanakaew and Walailak Research Institute welcomed distinguished speakers from both Thailand and abroad and delivered an official opening speech, emphasizing the role of modern genomic technology in parasitic helminth research and the development of a new generation of researchers at the international level.
The morning session featured special guest speakers from experts in various topics.
🔹 "Basic Knowledge about Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and its Applications
Researcher: Ms. Kalayarat Kaewnirattisai from Gibthai Co., Ltd.
🔹 “Molecular Evolution and Phylogeny of Parasitic Intestinal Parasites”
This section is provided by lecturers: Dr. Thanh Hwa Le from the Vietnam Academy of Medicine (VAST) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Saichantha, Faculty of Medicine, Mahasarakham University.
This study contributes to knowledge about NGS software decoding technology and the study of flatworms at a critical level, which is crucial for accurate parasitic disease control and research, furthering the teaching-level research.
