Mahasarakham University have an action plan in place to reduce plastic waste on campus

Mahasarakham University recognizes the environmental problems resulting from the continuous increase in plastic usage, which affects ecosystems and human health. Therefore, the University has established guidelines for plastic reduction to support its role as a Green University and align with the Sustainable Development Goals, Action plan to reducing plastic waste as follows:

          1. Promote the use of personal reusable cups instead of plastic cups.

          2. Reduce the use of plastic containers such as foam boxes and plastic bags.

          3. Support the use of naturally biodegradable materials.

          4. Discontinue the use of plastic seals/wrappers on drinking bottle caps.

Convenience Stores and Restaurants:

          1. Eliminate the use of plastic shopping bags.

          2. Reduce the use of drinking bottle caps.

          3. Promote the use of environmentally friendly containers, such as sugarcane pulp containers.

Coffee Shops

          1. Eliminate plastic straws.

          2. Promote the use of reusable cups.

Monitoring and Reporting

          1. Continuously conduct public relations and awareness campaigns.

          2. Monitor the reduction in the volume of plastics used within the university.

          3. Evaluate operational results to improve and adjust measures.
