Mahasarakham university (faculty of science and WRBRI) conducting research to maintain and extend existing ecosystems and biodiversity in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The research topic of ecology and diversity in fauna and flora including cricket in mainland Southeast Asia, giant water bug and new species of black fly in Thailand, Gekko petricolus and Dixonius sp. (Squamata, Gekkonidae), a new species and a new record of Curcuma and Kaempferia (Zingiberaceae) in Thailand. In 2022, More than 10 articles publication by staff’s MSU in Web of Science (ISI and Scopus database)
