Mahasarakham University (MSU) by the division of building and ground inventory biodiversity included in planning and development and Walairukhavej Botanical Research Institute (WBRI). In 2023-2024, on the project under the Koeng Station Development Plan (2023-2026) WBRI, the plan is to develop natural wetland and organic farm for tourism. After the we constructed of the floating raft and kayaking and other activities on oxbow lake and forest in 2023. We cooperate with the taxonomy staff of WBRI and faculty of science organizes activities to inventory and monitoring the fish species in place, before run the project in there. WBRI, collaborated with the Paleontology Research and Education Center, Mahasarakham University, and the Mahasarakham Bird Watching Club organized an activity to survey the diversity of life under the 2nd Maha Sarakham Nature Survey Operation Project on April 26, 2024 at the Kud Daeng Wetland. It has opened opportunities for the public who are interested in nature to participate by conducting a survey of the diversity of fish and aquatic animals in the Kud Daeng wetlands. In 2024, we update checklist of fish to 43 species of fish, the most common family namely, Cyprinidae, Bagridae, Notopterus, Osphronemidae, Pristolepididae, Belonidae, Siluridae, Botiidae, Ambassidae, and Mastacembelidae, respectively.
