We have an action plan in place to reduce plastic waste on our university
Mahasarakham university has an action plan on plastic waste reduction for every department under the responsibility of Division of Buildings and Grounds following zero waste by the 3 Rs steps. all campus has their action plan to take care the plastic waste in their area. The university has a solid waste management committee within MSU. Participate in meetings to supervise, follow up, and report on the results of waste management operations within the faculty/unit. The waste management department has reported overall results of operations on the amount of waste generated within the faculty of MSU, as a result on September 2022, the amount of waste generated to divided 70.6 %, organic waste, 25.5 %, recycled waste, 3.3 %, hazardous waste, 0.5 %., When comparing the amount of waste weight in fiscal year 2021 and 2022 (October-August), fiscal year 2021 has a total waste weight of 936.19 tons. Fiscal year 2022 has a total waste weight of 814.31 tons. In comparison, the amount of waste decreased by 121.88 tons.
